Remember The MP Cop Whom Shobhaa De Fat-Shamed? He Has Completely Transformed Within A Month

Renowned columnist Shobhaa De who's known for her several tweets had earlier garnered hatred from masses when she tweeted the photo of a cop, insulting him for his size. The said photo was of an overweight police official of Madhya Pradesh, Daulatram Jogawat.

Having captioned the photo heavy police bandobast in Mumbai today, Shobha De was not just mocked for her lack of awareness, but for her mindless fat-shaming as well. But seems like the tweet sure did benefit Daulatram immensely as he finally decided to move to Mumbai and undergo the much required treatment.

Daulatram underwent a Gastric Bypass Procedure (GBP) at Saifee Hospital and has managed to shed ample weight. The doctors who are currently treating him claim he would be able to lose over 100 kilos in the coming year.

The treatment that is said to cost over Rs. 4 lakh is being offered to Daulatram free of cost. If the Madhya Pradesh government wishes, they can fund the cost of treatment but we are not charging the patient, stated the officials at the hospital.

After De;s insulting tweet had gone viral, Daulatram had clarified that his weight issues weren;t due to overeating, but due to an insulin imbalance he faced as a result of a gall bladder surgery he;d undergone way back in the year 1993.
