US Drops Largest Bomb Near Pakistan Border; What Is Non-Nuclear MOAB Bomb And How Much Destruction It Can Cause

The United States of America on Thursday dropped its most powerful non-nuclear bomb on ISIS targets in Afghanistan.

The 'MOAB' dubbed Mother Of All Bombs is officially known as the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast.

The GPS-guided munition was dropped at 7:30 pm local time by an MC-130 aircraft. The mission was hailed as another successful job by US President Donald Trump.

When the news started to be flashed by media around the world, many inquiring minds wondered about the type of weapon that is used for the first time in a battlefield.

This is what to know about MOAB, whose target on Thursday was ISIS cave, tunnel complex and militants in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province in the remote area in the east of Afghanistan bordering Pakistan.
